CMS Offshore Race Team wanted to move up to the unlimited class for the 2009 Season. After researching everything available on the market in late 2007 we found nothing that met our requirements. We started discussing with many builders what we wanted, a boat to fit in the UIM Class 1 Rules, and a boat that would handle the expected new speeds of over 200 MPH. MTI was selected based on their creative approach and past performance of building World Championship winning offshore race boats. Some of the items required in the project would take a considerable amount of engineering and creativity in the rigging aspect and of course the only company that could produce the final results was Supercat Rigging. The project was signed and the build process began. |
